Top Beauty Trends this Summer

Top Beauty Trends this Summer

Sleek hair, statement eyes and subtle, dewy complexions… the summer 2017 beauty trends have arrived! Whilst the catwalks are awash with bold glitter and boho braids, we've scouted our favourite fashionable trends of the season to bring you our top beauty trends to invest in this summer. Whether you’re hitting the beach or embracing the city chic vibes, these trends are guaranteed to have you looking on trend and fabulous this season. It's time to step out of your beauty comfort zone and embrace the beauty!

Sun Kissed Skin

Sun-kissed skin. It's never quite summer without that beach-bronzed summer glow, no matter what we see on the catwalk. The perfect antidote to sun starved skin, focus on the forehead and cheek hollows, and buff onto the face to cast a sunlit glow across skin. Stick to gold, copper, beige and bronze to contour and flatter the face and avoid the ghastly orange tan. Keep it subtle and dewy for a natural glow.

Barely there nails. After a long season of bold nail art trends, summer is the perfect time to take a step back and keep it simple on the nail front. From the palest pink to chic nude shades, understated is key.

Plaits. A huge trend at Fashion Week, the humble plait is giving no sign of leaving anytime soon. Whether you like your plait sleek and smooth or chunky and textured, there is plenty of plait-spiration to get your teeth into this season. Time to get twisting!

Fresh Face

Fresh face. As one of our favourite beauty trends of this season, this trend is all about embracing that clean visage free of excessive contouring and highlighting, keeping skin relatively simple and dewy. Gone are the heavy foundations, it's time to say hello to tinted moisturisers and loose translucent powders. The no make up look has seriously upped its game, with clean, moisturised skin teamed with subtle highlighting of the features winning our hearts both on the catwalk and a little closer to home.

What are some of your favourite beauty trends?
